A whole host of fresh details surrounding Ralf Rangnick’s imminent arrival at Premier League giants Manchester United have, on Friday evening, come to the fore online.
Change at the helm
The name of German mastermind Rangnick has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across the last 24 hours.
This comes after those in a position of power at the aforementioned United sprung a surprise, in swooping decisively to lure the 63-year-old to the club with immediate effect.
On the back of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal last weekend, the Old Trafford hierarchy evidently identified Rangnick as the right man to oversee not only matters on the pitch at the club, but off it, too.
In turn, after initiating talks earlier this week, the Red Devils are expected to imminently announce the Lokomotiv Moscow chief as their interim manager for the remainder of the campaign.
After this, Rangnick will take his place in the boardroom in Manchester, in a consultancy role through 2024.

Rangnick latest
And, as outlined above, after the Man United hierarchy earlier today struck a deal with their Lokomotiv counterparts to free Rangnick from his contract, late this evening, a fresh round of details surrounding the German’s arrival have come to the fore.
The info comes courtesy of the reliable Paul Hirst of The Times, who has confirmed that, in an impressive coup, the Red Devils will not be forced to pay any compensation to bring the club’s next manager in.
Rangnick, though, will be expected to secure a significant bump up on his current wage packet, understood to come in around £3.8 million-per-year.
In addition, the one-time RB Leipzig chief will be in line for a substantial bonus, in the case that he either secures a trophy, or oversees a top-4 finish in the Premier League this season.

Elsewhere, doubt has been cast over Rangnick taking his place on the touchline for United’s showdown with Arsenal next Thursday, with visa issues meaning that the German is only likely to officially take over at Old Trafford towards the middle of next week.
And, last up, an interesting insight into the reaction of the dressing room in Manchester to news of Rangnick’s impending appointment has too been unveiled.
Hirst suggests that a number of United stars were ‘annoyed’ with being left in the dark over the club’s discussions with their soon-to-be manager, with the board having failed to communicate their intentions either via WhatsApp or in person.
