Michail Antonio sends message to West Ham’s fans after Brighton

Michail Antonio sends message to West Ham’s fans after Brighton disappointment

West Ham United star Michail Antonio has taken to social media on Thursday, to send a message to all associated with the club.

Maupay strikes late

David Moyes’ men were of course back in action 24 hours ago.

After slipping to back-to-back defeats at the hands of Wolves and Manchester City respectively, the Hammers welcomed struggling Brighton & Hove Albion to the London Stadium, eyeing a bounce-back result.

When all was said and done in the capital, however, West Ham were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the spoils.

Despite taking the lead inside five minutes courtesy of Tomas Soucek, the hosts stuttered their way through the remainder of the clash, opening the door for Neal Maupay to level things up in spectacular fashion with 89 minutes on the clock:

‘Better than that’

Another two dropped points for Moyes and co. means that, after looking in such a strong position just weeks ago, West Ham will officially slip out of the Premier League’s top-4 this evening, if Arsenal can get the better of Manchester United.

As alluded to above, though, on the back of his side’s latest underwhelming display, one Irons star keen to send a message of encouragement to the club’s fanbase comes in the form of Michail Antonio.

Taking to social media on Thursday, hitman Antonio, who continued his barren spell in front of goal up against Brighton, assured that he and his teammates will soon ‘show’ that they are a better side than their performance last night suggested:
