Chelsea’s Thiago Silva responds to Paul Scholes’ Cristiano Ronaldo claim

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has hit back at Manchester United legend Paul Scholes following a claim made by the midfielder surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and Silva.

Chelsea held by Manchester United

Chelsea and Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.

Chelsea headed into the meeting with Manchester United in much better form than their opponents on the day.

However, when all was said and done in west London, the points were shared.

Jadon Sancho, thanks to an error from Jorginho and some smart pressing from Marcus Rashford and Sancho himself, was able to open the scoring shortly into the second 45.

Chelsea were then able to bring things back on level terms after Aaron Wan-Bissaka gave away a pretty silly penalty, which Jorginho scored:

Thiago Silva responds to Paul Scholes

Following the game, Thiago Silva has hit back at Paul Scholes. As covered by the Daily Mail, Scholes is alleged to have said before the match that playing against Silva should be easy for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo did not start the game, but he did come off the bench for the final 26 minutes and failed to muster up a single shot.

Now, as reported by the Mail, Thiago Silva would take to Instagram to respond to Scholes, stating:

“It is always easy, especially for those who have stopped playing!!”
